1.自己紹介

Nice to meet you! My name is Julien (ジュリアン), I’m a 26 year old French engineer. I came to Japan 5 months ago in Working holiday after finishing my Computer Science degree and working 2 years in a French Web-agency as a Web engineer. I always been interested in Japan and after I turned 25 I wanted to try to live there!

 

2. 日本の生活

After working as a Baito and discovering Tokyo I decided to look for an engineering job as I love coding. After some time I finally got to meet Ascreed and it is exactly the kind of job I was looking for. I learned Japanese on my own so writing / reading is still very hard for me, I was nervous that would be a problem but everyone helps me a lot! That was the first time I actually have to use my Japanese and English in the workspace and it’s awesome, I’m learning new words every day.

 

3. アスクリード

I’m loving the feeling of the workspace, I’m used to work in an openspace so I feel at home. I must admit few things surprised me at first, having your coworker take a quick nap next to you is very disconcerting at first! Flex hours are also new to me as I used to work “standard French time” (9am-12am / 2pm-6pm), now there is people coming earlier / later than others but new things are always interesting and fun aren’t they?

To conclude this brief introduction, I’m happy to work at Ascreed and I’m looking forward to share my knowledge and learning lots of new things with everyone!
